Azerbaijan celebrates Day of National Salvation

In Azerbaijan on Wednesday, June 15, National Salvation Day is celebrated.

exactly 30 years ago, the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, returning to power, saved the Azerbaijani people, the state and the nation from the split.

In his speech at a meeting of the Milli Majlis on June 15, 1993, Heydar Aliyev announced a new strategy for the future development of the statehood of Azerbaijan, this day went down in the history of Azerbaijan as a day of national salvation.

On this day, at the request of the people, Heydar Aliyev returned to power for the second time and was elected chairman of the Supreme Council. Thus, the end of tension and confrontation in society was laid, the country was saved from the threat of a civil war and a split.

The philosophy of national salvation ensured the existence of Azerbaijan, its independence, which has become the biggest achievement in the history of the country.

At that time, the statehood of Azerbaijan was saved from the threat of disappearance. If the acquisition of independence was the first condition, the second important issue was the preservation and development of sovereignty, which became possible thanks to the will of the national leader. He created the national concept of statehood of Azerbaijan. Despite all the obstacles, socio-political stability was restored in the country for the shortest period.

In 1997, deputies made a proposal to announce on June 15 the day of the national salvation of Azerbaijan, and the parliament approved this proposal. Since that time, the return of Heydar Aliyev to power has been celebrated as the day of national salvation.

For the third year, the day of national salvation has been celebrated on the lands liberated from the enemy occupation. Thanks to politics, continued by President Ilham Aliyev, the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was restored.

Azerbaijani Army, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander -in -Chief Ilham Aliyev, liberated the Azerbaijani lands under the occupation of Armenia for 30 years.
