Azerbaijani athletes won four medals on this competition – two gold and two silver.
In the weight category up to 81 kg, Magerram Imamverdiyev, defeating Ukrainian Stanislav Korchevuk in the final. In weight over 100 kg, the final was purely Azerbaijani: Kenan Nasibov defeated Husein Mamedov. And in the category up to 100 kg, Ruslan Nasire was weaker than the opponent from Slovakia.
