The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jaykhun Bayramov, met with the Bulgarian and German colleagues as part of the participation of a high-level week of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to the press service of the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, on September 27, 2024, Bayramov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria Ivan Kondov.
The meeting discussed issues arising from the relations of strategic partnership, as well as situations in the field of regional and international security.
The presence of political, economic, energy, transportation, humanitarian, and other aspects of partnerships
was noted with satisfaction.
In particular, it was noted that the implemented projects in the field of energy security further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
emphasized the importance of mutual support and cooperation within the framework of regional and international organizations.
Jaykhun Bayramov informed the interlocutor in detail about the current situation and realities in the region in the post -conflict period.
Work was discussed in preparation for the conduct of the 29th session of the conference of the parties to the UN Framework Convention to conduct the climate change (COP29) in Azerbaijan. There was also an exchange of views on other issues representing mutual interest.
On the sessions of the UN session, the head of Azerbaijani diplomacy also met with Germany Foreign Minister Annalen Berobok.
During the meeting, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany were discussed and the current situation in the region in the post -conflict period.
The German side was informed in detail about the work done in preparation for the 29th COP29 session, which will be held in Azerbaijan.
Bayramov spoke about the current situation in the region in the post -conflict period, the restoration and reconstruction work carried out on the liberated lands, about the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The Minister noted that the ongoing territorial claims against Azerbaijan, contained in the Constitution and legislative acts of Armenia, as well as the rapid weapons of this country pose a threat to a peaceful agenda.
During the meeting, an exchange of views on other issues representing mutual interest was also held.
