Azerbaijan sent the second batch of humanitarian aid for Ukraine, consisting of electrical equipment.
According to the order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev of February 5, 2025, one million dollars in manatous equivalent were allocated for these purposes.
The first batch of assistance was sent on February 7.
The head of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Energy, Alesker Hasanov, said that the humanitarian cargo includes more than 52 thousand meters of electric cables and wires, as well as 17 transformers. This equipment is designed to restore stable power supply to the territories of Ukraine.
Note that the total amount of assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine for restoration and humanitarian goals in the conditions of this situation has already exceeded $ 40 million. Since 2022, about 134 transformers and complete transformer substations, 70 generators and more than 3.4 million meters of electric cables and wires were sent to Ukraine.
