Azerbaijan limited the import of poultry products from the Russian region.
This is reported by the Food Safety Agency.
The statement notes that according to the information of the World Animal Health Organization (OIE), in the Skyrovsky district of the Primorsky Krai of the Russian Federation, Newcastle disease was revealed. In order to protect the territory of the republic from the penetration of infectious animal diseases, taking into account the principle of zoning and in accordance with the “Land Animal Health Code” there is a temporary restriction on the import of all types of live birds, poultry meat and eggs from the Primorsky Territory of Russia.
At the same time, in order to strengthen control measures about the necessary actions due to arriving and passing transit through Azerbaijan by vehicles from the Primorsky Territory of Russia, the corresponding appeal was sent to the State Customs Committee.
