A new tariff mechanism for public transport will be introduced in Azerbaijan. This is stated in the report of the Cabinet of Ministers for 2020.
The document notes that this will take into account progressive international experience.
Currently, preparatory work is underway to improve legislation on preferential and non-cash use of public transport.
Note that currently the cost of transportation services is determined by the Tariff Council.
