He recalled that Russia is a supplier of mineral fertilizers and grain crops in Azerbaijan.
“In 2021, 1.15 million tons of wheat were delivered from Russia to Azerbaijan, and in the first quarter of 2022 we purchased about two million tons of fertilizers in Russia. We count on further support in increasing the volume of supplies to Azerbaijan of fertilizers and wheat “, – added Mustafaev.
He also added that there is a good dynamics in the field of agriculture between Azerbaijan and Russia.
According to him, Azerbaijan is included in the top 10 exporters of agricultural products to Russia.
“In 2021, the export of fruits and vegetables from Azerbaijan to Russia amounted to 560 thousand tons (growth of more than six percent). The volume of supplies also increased for products such as persimmons, grapes, potatoes, peaches, apricots. The beginning of the year, the increase in the supply of these products amounted to more than seven percent.
