Banknote in a par with 50 manat, issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan in turnover from the beginning of 2021, included in the number of finalists of the international competition “The most advanced new monetary sign of 2022”, conducted by the International Association of Collectors of Paper Monetary (International Bank Note Society, IBNS) .
“The competition presents banknotes of various countries, including Great Britain, Australia, Mexico, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Singapore, Philippines, etc. Banknotes were issued in turnover by Central Banks of these countries in 2021,” the Central Bank says Azerbaijan.
CBA notes that in November 2021, a new banknote of 50 manat became the winner in the nomination “Banknote with the most reliable protection system” at an international conference organized by the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA) in the UK.
