The Azerbaijani city of the lip was declared the “Agrarian capital of the organization of the Turkic states” (OTG). The corresponding statement was made by the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Medzhnun Mammadov following the results of the second meeting of agricultural ministers.
The event was also attended by the Secretary of the OTG Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey Ibrahim Yumakla, Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan Aziz Voits, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRSK) Hussein Kovush, First Deputy Minister of the Rural farms of Kyrgyzstan Murat Ramatov and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Abilhair Tamabek.
Following the meeting, ministers signed a declaration and made statements for the press.
In particular, the Minister of Agricultural and Forestry of Turkey Yumakla said that the meeting participants discussed issues of agricultural sustainability, the self -sufficiency of the sector and issues of food security.
“An exchange of views on such issues as the fight against climate change, climatically optimized agriculture, the efficient use of water, as well as the management of water and land resources,” said the Turkish Minister.
In turn, the Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Mammadov drew attention to the huge potential of the countries in the agricultural sector.
“We strive to further deepen our cooperation in this area,” he emphasized.
According to the Azerbaijani Minister, the current situation in terms of cooperation between the CIS countries in the agricultural sector, as well as possible cooperation in the future, was discussed in detail.
“OTG member countries closely cooperate in the agar sphere both at the bilateral and multilateral levels. Such issues as an increase in agricultural and food products, encouraging mutual investments, transfer of modern technologies, and the transmission of modern technologies, and the transmission of modern technologies were determined as future areas of cooperation. Mutual exchange of advanced experience, effective management of land and water resources, the development of the agricultural insurance system, ”said Mamedov.
According to him, the meeting participants also made an offer to appoint the “Agrarian Capital” in
“Annually, one of the cities of the OTG countries will be declared an agrarian capital. At this meeting, we announced the Azerbaijani city of the Lyuba Agrarian capital of OTG,” Mammadov said.
