In the Baku Court of Crime, the trial ended the 26-year-old resident of Lankyaran Tavakkul Ibadzade, accused of extorting money through threats.
According to Haqqın.az correspondent, Ibadzade demanded 54 thousand manat by Yaseman Nadirova (the name and surname changed – approx. Ed.), He met on the social network, threatening to spread videos with intimate shots with both of them. Thus, from February to November last year, he seized 41 thousand manat from the woman in parts. Nadirova, who was threatened and blackmail, was forced to apply to law enforcement agencies. Based on the complaint, Ibadzade was arrested.
The accused did not plead guilty to the charges. In his testimony, he stated that he worked as a photographer in a photo studio, and met the victim on Instagram in October 2020:
“We corresponded with Yaseman on Instagram. She told me that she was 40 years old, but when we met, I saw that she was older. Therefore, we did not particularly talk.”
According to Ibadzade’s testimony, Nadirova wrote a letter to him asking him to help sell a non -residential premises. The man posted photos of this object on his page on Instagram, helped to sell it and received money in return:
“We had a business relationship, just sometimes she gave me money for expenses. Gradually we had close relationships. There were intimate contacts by mutual agreement several times. I did not demand money from it, did not threaten. For my birthday – February 10, she gave me 4 thousand dollars. Later I took Yaseman to expand my business. “
In his statement, Tavakkul said that at one moment he decided to interrupt relations with a woman:
, however, in November, I got into a car accident, Yasamen called and asked for money. She said that she would take a loan at the bank. I took the money, and the police detained me on the way back. “
The victim herself said that at the beginning of the pandemic, Tavakkul asked her for money to open a business and, having received a refusal, began to blackmail her with filmed intimate videos. At first he asked for 25 thousand dollars. Nadirova did not find that kind of money and she paid him only 15 thousand. Then the blackmailer took another 7 thousand dollars from the woman.
According to the testimony of the victim, on November 1 last year, Ibadzade again took up blackmail and demanded another 13 thousand dollars from the woman. Nadirova no longer had money and she decided to contact law enforcement agencies. The police gave her 70 specially made fake 100-dollar bills, which Nadirova gave to Ibadzade. With the help of this scheme, the fraudster was detained.
