Azerbaijani athlete Haidarov won a gold medal in the weight category up to 73 kg at judo competitions held on the third day of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Khaidarov, who defeated the Frenchman Joan-Benjamen Gaba in the final of the Champ de Mars arena, climbed the highest step of the Olympic Pishtal.
Bronze medals in this category were received by Japanese Soichi Hasimoto and the representative of Moldova of Azerbazhan origin Adil Osman.
