Azerbaijani President And Foreign Minister Of Slovenia Discussed Cooperation In Energy Sector

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev was accepted by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Tanya Fayon.

The meeting expressed satisfaction with the development of political ties between our countries, recently made political consultations at the level of foreign ministers.

The head of state said that Azerbaijan attaches important importance to the development of relations with the Balkan countries.

The meeting said about the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan with the countries of the Balkan region, including with Slovenia, in the energy sector, an exchange of opinions on prospects in this area took place. The importance of the development of ties between the business circles of the two countries to expand trade and economic relations was emphasized.

During the conversation, the meaning of the median corridor was noted. It was emphasized that this corridor is one of the important transport arteries in the development of trade and economic ties between Europe and China, and it is noted that it will create favorable opportunities for Slovenian companies. In this context, the issues of cooperation between the ports of Azerbaijan and Slovenia were discussed.

The meeting also took an exchange of views on other issues representing mutual interest.
