Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Pakistan Prime Minister Shakhbaz Sharif, who is on an official visit to Baku.
The head of the Pakistani government arrived in Baku on Sunday, February 23.
On Monday, February 24, a meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Pakistan in a narrow format took place, then Aliyev and Sharif headed a delegation at a meeting in an expanded format.
Following the results of the negotiations, the President of Azerbaijan and Pakistan Prime Minister made a statement for the press.
Then, with the participation of Aliyev and Sharif, a ceremony of the exchange of documents signed between the Azerbaijan Republic and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Pakistan Prime Minister also visited Victory Park in Baku, where an honorary guard was built in honor of the high guest.
Pakistan Prime Minister laid a wreath to the Victory monument in the park.
Then, a high guest was provided with detailed information about the Victory Park, created with the aim of perpetuating the unprecedented heroism manifested by the Azerbaijani people in the Patriotic War, conquered by them of the grandiose historical victory and the bright memory of our shahids. It was noted that at the entrance to the park, the area of which is about 10 hectares, a triumphal arch was built 44 meters high, 22 meters wide and with 44 columns as a symbol of 44-day Patriotic War.
