Azerbaijani President: Baku And Tehran Support Each Other On International Platforms

Azerbaijan and Iran traditionally support each other as part of international organizations.

This was said by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in a statement for the press with Iran President Masud Pesheshkian in Baku.

According to him, as part of today’s negotiations, an exchange of views on this issue was also held and the framework of future joint cooperation was discussed.

The Head of State noted that representatives of the two countries are always next to each other, whether within the United Nations, the organization of Islamic cooperation, the SEC, the movement of non -alignment, or other organizations.

Ilham Aliyev noted that the official visit of President Iran to Azerbaijan is a manifestation of a high level of relations between the two countries.

The President said that trilateral cooperation projects were discussed today. He emphasized that among them a special place is occupied by the North-South transport corridor.

noting that this project will bring great benefits and benefits to all participating countries, the head of state emphasized that Azerbaijan has implemented all the necessary infrastructure projects on its territory to function this transport corridor. “At present, we are simply expanding our transport capabilities and infrastructure taking into account the growing volume of goods,” Aliyev said.

Masud Cyezeshkin, in turn, noted that the parties have a lot in common from the point of view of culture, faith, politics and regional programs.

“We will strive to actively continue our connections. We can study each other’s experience in many issues,” the president of Iran emphasized.
