Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev accepted the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov.
According to the presidential press service, Aliyev, during the meeting, noted that the policy of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, aimed at economic reforms, the development of social and all other areas, brings specific results.
The President noted that during a visit to Uzbekistan, he witnessed a successful resolution of issues related to the industrial potential and protection of the country’s historical and cultural heritage.
The head of state expressed confidence that the interaction associated with the development of cooperation between Baku and Tashkent will continue in the future.
Aliyev praised especially the support of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek people in the restoration of the sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
Touching the cities of Fizuli and Shusha, along with Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the head of state said that the opening of the school in Fizuli, which is the gift of the president and the people of Uzbekistan, is symbolic in nature.
President Aliyev emphasized that the visit of Laziz Kudratov to Azerbaijan created a good opportunity to once again consider the projects related to the strengthening of economic cooperation.
The Uzbek Minister, in turn, noted the strengthening of the authority of Azerbaijan in the international arena, the dynamic development of its economy, the growth of investment.
Laziz Kudratov said that, despite the global challenges, Azerbaijan successfully managed to cope with the containment of inflation.
He also emphasized that the return under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev occupied territories and the restoration of historical justice became an important event in the history of not only Azerbaijan, but all the Turkic states.
The minister noted that this historical event was perceived in Uzbekistan with great joy.
He expressed gratitude to the head of state to support the implementation of initiatives aimed at strengthening the cooperation of the two countries.
