Azerbaijani student is elected by the Vice President of the world’s largest legal youth organization European lawyer Association.
ELSA is the world’s largest legal youth and student organization, uniting more than 350 cities and universities in 44 countries in Europe, including more than 54,500 young people. The organization was founded in 1981, and Azerbaijani representation-in 2010. The main activities of ELSA consists in supporting their development through useful local and international events, competitions, intercountry practical programs on various branches of law for young people.
As told Haqqın.az in the press service of the board, a member of the ELSA National Council in Azerbaijan Samira Safarov at a meeting of the International Council, held April 11-17, 2021, gathered voices of more than 20 countries and was elected to the position of vice-president of the International Council academic activities.
Please note that the International Council is the highest executive body of the Organization, and eight members of the Council work in the ELSA headquarters in Brussels, within one year. Their basic work is to collect data provided to member countries, their relevant training, including coordination and management of various groups. In addition, the International Council cooperates with international organizations, firms, governments, other youth associations, exercises professional cooperation.
