Azerbaijani representative Huseyn Gambarov showed the highest result in the category “Preventing Data Leakage” and ranked 4th in the overall standings of the International Competition organized by WorldSkills Asia.
Graduate of the first group of educational project “Introduction to Cybersecurity” Institute of Education and Graduate of the Baku Higher School of Oil G. Gambarov last month won the right to participate in an international competition, showing high results in the national qualifying round, organized by WorldSkills Azerbaijan – National Development Site Professionalism and skills.
As the Coordinator of the WORLDSKILLS AZERBAIJAN Platform Farid Aliyev, 31 people took part in the national qualifying round, of which Huseyn showed the best result.
“Despite the fact that Huseyn is still very young, he is already professional, which has proven at the international competition. We are very proud of him as a result and wish him further success. I am sure that it is waiting for a bright future,” said F. Aliyev.
Note that in the international competition in 13 areas in which Azerbaijan took part for the first time, there were 122 participants and 185 specialists from 26 countries of the world.
In 2020, Azerbaijan joined the WORLDSKILLS movement, which contributes to the promotion of professional skills at the international level. WORLDSKILLS platform, known worldwide, as an organizer of international competitions in different skills for young people under the age of 22, makes it possible to train professionals in accordance with the requirements of the labor market and world standards.
WSI’s mission calls attracting attention to working professions and creating conditions for the development of high professional standards.
Recall, for the first time since the 2021-2022 academic year, cyber security, which is of particular interest to young people will be taught in the Baku State Center for Professional Training Industry and Innovation in the framework of higher professional education.
