He noted that Moscow traditionally connects Moscow with the CIS countries, and Azerbaijan is one of the key partners of the capital of Russia.
“According to the Central Bank of Russia, the accumulated volume of investments from this country to Moscow as of October 1, 2021 amounted to $ 467 million. In five years, investments increased 3.8 times, from October 2020 to September 2021 – At 15.65. Mostly the Azerbaijani business invests funds in the chemical industry and real estate, ”said Efimov.
According to him, since 2013, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan has been working in Moscow since 2013.
“The company is trading in oil, petroleum products and petrochemistry throughout Russia both on the exchange and in direct contracts. The unit also sells polymer products of its own production and sells it not only within the country, but in the state of the Customs Union. Turnouts in 2021 between Moscow and Azerbaijan exceeded $ 999 million, which is 11.8% more than in 2020. In January of this year, the indicator increased by 44.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and amounted to almost $ 85 million, ”he emphasized .
In turn, the head of the capital’s department of investment and industrial policy of Moscow Vladislav Ovchinsky emphasized that the volume of exports of Moscow to Azerbaijan in 2021 exceeded $ 424 million – this is 6.6% more than a year earlier, and the volume of imports increased by 16% relative to 2020 and amounted to about $ 575 million. “
“Moscow companies in 2021 delivered electrical devices, communication equipment, mechanical equipment and equipment, detergents, cosmetics to Azerbaijan. At the same time, the capital purchased plastic and products from Azerbaijan, fruits, nuts, vegetables and drinks,” – said Ovchinsky.
