Azerbaijani community in New York held a picket in front of the UN headquarters. Action was carried out in order to attract the UN attention to a large-scale provocation, committed on September 12-13 by the Armenian armed forces on the state border of Azerbaijan, and the aggressive policy pursued by the official Yerevan against Azerbaijan.
According to Haqqin.az, Azerbaijani activists came out with the flags of Azerbaijan and Turkey, reciting: “Karabakh is Azerbaijan!”
The participants in the action demanded that the UN take strict measures against the Government of Armenia, ignoring the norms of international law.
New York police ensured the safety of a protest held organized by the US-Azerbaijani Association of Women and the Cultural Center of New York-Azerbaijan.
The same diasporas organizations of Azerbaijanis held an information action in Manhattan. On a large LED screen, the residents of New York were provided with detailed information about what was happening on the border of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
