Germany’s authorities faced the problem of lack of housing for asylum petitioners. To date, the capital of Germany can take a maximum of 200 refugees. According to the German media, this statement was made by the senator for integration, labor and social issues of Katya Kipping.
According to the German senator, in recent months the number of refuge petitioners has sharply increased despite the fact that the number of refugees from Ukraine is reduced.
According to the social administration, asylum petitioners who are currently arriving in Berlin, mainly from Syria, Georgia, Moldova and Azerbaijan.
Katya Kipping also notes the insignificant growth of refuge from Russia – we are talking mainly about young men running from mobilization. By law, they cannot be placed together with refugees from Ukraine. However, the senator does not agree with the allegations that it is necessary to close the doors for refugees from Russia.
It is noteworthy that the words of the German senator about the growth of the number of refugees from Azerbaijan diverge from the statements of opposition human rights activists that the number of Azerbaijani refugees is reduced in Germany.
