Azercell awarded a certificate of conformity to ISO 37001: 2016 “Corruption Management Systems”

Thanks to the transparency strategy implemented during its activities, the leading mobile operator of the country Azercell Telecom LLC has once again received a certificate of compliance with ISO 37001: 2016 “Corruption Management Systems”.

Certification audit conducted by the Turkish company Denetic International Documentation and Surveillance Services accredited by the largest accreditation organization in the United States Anab (ANSI National Accreditation Board), once again confirmed the compliance of the Azercell anti-corruption program to all necessary requirements.

Azercell Telecom LLC has been implementing a special anti-corruption program for several years. The program not only serves to prevent corruption in all spheres of the company, but also contributes to ethical behavior, teaching employees to this end. The requirements of standards include the application of financial and non-financial control, the creation of channels to inform corruption cases, investigating cases of violations, verification of compliance of cooperating business entities, taking measures to reduce the risk of corruption in these entities, etc.

During the presentation of the certificate, the Director of the Legislation Department, Ethics and Compliance Azercell Shirin Aliyev stressed that the company strictly complies with anti-corruption procedures: “Last year, our company has become the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan, awarded this certificate. ISO 37001 standards were published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in 2016 and are the only world-acting standard in the field of corruption.
