Azergold closed joint -stock company in May 2022 produced 5.1 thousand ounces of gold and 13.9 thousand ounces of silver, and in January -May – 20.3 thousand ounces of gold and 67.8 thousand ounces of silver.
In May, CJSC exported 4.8 thousand ounces of gold and 11.4 thousand ounces of silver. Since the beginning of the year on international exchanges, the company has implemented 17.3 thousand ounces of gold and 52.3 thousand ounces of silver and attracted 58.4 million manat to Azerbaijan. At the same time, the activities of the CJSC in the first five months, in accordance with the production and export plans for the current year, were fully implemented.
A slight decrease in production and export indicators in January-May of this year, compared with the same period of the previous year, is associated with the work on optimization on the production line of the Chevdar integrated regional processing area (Chirup). Thus, in order to increase the efficiency of the use of minerals and ensure sustainable production, the throughput capacity of existing conveyor lines in Chirup was increased in the framework of the modernization work carried out this year, and the enterprise’s production capabilities were expanded.
It is worth noting that earlier 210 tons of ore per hour were processed on the production line, however, after optimization of the work, the specified volume was increased by 43 percent – up to 300 tons per hour. Thus, optimization work has created an opportunity to increase production and exports. It is expected that from the third quarter of this year and export and production indicators will significantly exceed last year.
In addition to existing production facilities, the construction of a new transformation and sulfide ore processing factory using the reservoir leaching method continues. At the factory, which will be commissioned at the end of 2022 – early 2023, it is planned to process sulfide ores from the Chuvdar deposits, iron ores from the deposits of Maray, Agyokush -2, Tulallar and other regions.
