Azerigaz production association responded to statements in the Armenian media regarding the disconnection of gas supplied to the territory of Azerbaijan temporarily controlled by Russian peacekeepers, the statement according to the

“According to the information distributed, this time the Azerbaijani side allegedly suspended the supply of blue fuel to the territory where Russian peacekeepers are placed. Undoubtedly, this serves to mislead the international community and send international public opinion to the wrong direction. Azerigaz states that Azerbaijan has nothing to do with the mentioned issue. So, gas supply to the territory where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed are carried out by Armenia, and these territories are not integrated into the gas supply system of our country, ”the statement said. The statement also notes that in the coming days on the gas pipeline section, which pass through the territories controlled by Azerbaijan, appropriate technical diagnostics will be carried out: “As you know, at present, due to cold weather conditions in other mountainous and foothill regions of Azerbaijan, will occur malfunctions in the operation of gas pipelines. In general, conducting technical diagnostics is considered as one of the steps calculated to ensure sustainable and safe gas supply, ”Azerigaz emphasized.
