On June 4, in the capital of Belgium Brussels, the VII Congress of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of Europe (KAI) was held.
The congress was attended by leaders of 11 coordination councils uniting tens of thousands of Azerbaijanis in 27 European countries, more than 50 diaspora organizations, members of the diaspora presented in the field of science, culture, sports, media and business, representatives of the Azerbaijani embassy in Belgium, deputies Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora (GCD) Vagif Seidbekov and Elshad Aliyev.
Speaking at the event, Vagif Seidbekov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora (GCD), noted that Kai, who began activities from April 12, 2004, contributed to the popularization of the Azerbaijani language and culture in the expired period, took part in bringing to the European community of Azerbaijani realities.
It is emphasized that in accordance with the strategy scheduled to be at the fuss of the V Congress of the Azeriangians of the World, it is planned to take important steps towards expanding the scale of Diaxocus and lobbying in Europe. To this end, there was a need to conduct structural transformations in ka and create a single form of management. In the quality of the example, coordination councils established in most European countries were given for the direction of activities of various diaspora organizations.
According to the representative of the Azerbaijan Embassy in Belgium, it is gratifying that the foreign policy of Azerbaijan is developing in parallel with diaspora activities in Western countries, including Belgium, which has turned into a political center of Europe: “This indicates a successful foreign and diaspora policy of our countries, the result of a large work of the State Committee for Work with the Diaspora in this direction.
