Baghdad: Iraq and Turkey will sign agreements on project “Path of Development”

Turkey and Iraq in the near future will sign agreements on the project “Path of Development”. This was announced by the adviser to the Prime Minister of Iraq for transport Nasyr al-Asadi to the newspaper “As-sabah”.

He noted that these agreements will include railway tracks and roads, which will connect the Persian Gulf region with Turkey, and will also become the main way to exchange goods between the Middle East and Europe.

The newspaper also writes that Turkey attaches important importance to the project “Path of Development”, published by the Iraqi Prime Minister Shia al-Sudani at the end of May.

The project will take its beginning from a large FAO on the shores of the Persian Gulf, then through the north of Iraq will reach Turkey. It includes 1200 kilometer rails and roads.
