On March 19, a regular meeting of the Working Group “Trade on the Border” of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings of Azerbaijan took place.
The meeting was headed by the head of the Working Group, First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Lieutenant-General of the Customs Service Ismail Huseynov.
The event was attended by the head of the monitoring, coordination and assessment of the economic reforms of the Department of Economic Policy and Industry of the Presidential Administration, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission on the Business Environment and International Ratings Vesal Shikhaliev, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Major General of the Customs Service Javad Gasimov , Heads of the main departments and departments of the State Customs Committee, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Justice, the State Agency for Citizens and Social Innovation. The event was attended by representatives of the National Academy of Sciences, Food Safety Agency, as well as Azerbaijani-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Consulting Companies and Customs.
Speaking at the meeting, First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Ismail Huseynov noted that last year successful results were achieved, an action plan was approved for specific purposes and for the current year. Stressing important steps in the formation of the Institute of Customs Representative Office, simplifying the processes of customs clearance and crossing the border, Ismail Huseynov noted that the successful results achieved are highly evaluated by representatives of the business.
Head of the Secretariat of the Commission on the Business Environment and International Ratings Wisal Shikhaliev noted that in accordance with the plan of events approved by the Working Group “Trade on the border” in January, important steps were made, and the discussion of the work done with business representatives and consulting companies was undertaken It has a special meaning.
Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee Javad Gasimov spoke about the work carried out in order to form a free competitive environment, ensuring transparency, simplify customs procedures, raising the level of service, about measures implemented in the direction of creating a new computerized transit system.
The staff of the State Customs Committee then made special presentations about the customs representation and the “Electronic Window” system.
