On April 29, a second round of political consultations was held between the ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Portugal at the level of executive executives in the format of video conferencing.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry, during the consultation, bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Portugal were considered, the security issues, cooperation in international organizations, a regional nature and other issues of mutual interest were discussed. Taking into account the current presidency of Portugal in the EU Council, an exchange of views took place on the cooperation of Azerbaijan with the European Union.
During the discussion, the importance of the high-level mutual visits, as well as the expansion of inter-parliamentary bonds, was emphasized.
The parties agreed after removing restrictions due to a pandemic to hold the following round of political advice in full-time.
