Azerbaijan highly appreciates the intermediary efforts of the head of the European Union Charles Michel in the process of normalizing relations between Baku and Yerevan.
This was stated by the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov at a meeting with the Supreme EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrelem.
At the same time, the minister emphasized that the biased statements of some EU officials undermine the role of the impartial mediator of Brussels in the indicated process.
According to the head of Azerbaijani diplomacy, the establishment of good -neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, based on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, is the only way to peace, stability and calm in the South Caucasus.
