Baku court hardened accusation of killed sister of 15-year-old Papiashvili

A fierce accusation against the 15-year-old resident of the Gakh region Zhora Papuashvili, accused of killing his own sister.

According to haqqın.az, the materials collected during the preliminary investigation showed that in the actions of the accused there are signs of a serious crime.

On this basis, the case in the criminal case initiated under Article 120.1 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code was re -qualified for article 120.2.9 (intentional murder of a person, obviously for the guilty of a helpless state). The sanction of Article 120.2.9 of the Criminal Code provides for punishment from 14 to 20 years in prison or lifelong imprisonment. However, according to the law, in Azerbaijan, persons who have not reached the age of 18 cannot be sentenced to more than 10 years.

Note that the murder occurred in November 2022. On November 5, in connection with the discovery of the body of 17-year-old Albina Papiashvili with traces of bodily injuries in the prosecutor’s office of the Gakh region, a criminal case was opened under Article 120.1 (intentional murder) of the Criminal Code.

During the investigative-operational measures carried out, reasonable suspicions were revealed that Zhora Papiashvili escaped from the scene, inflicting numerous stab wounds and killing Albin in her bed.

In relation to Papiashvili, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen.
