On Monday, April 8, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev accepted the Minister of Road and City Development of Iran, co-chairman of the Azerbaijani joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation Farzan Sadeg. This was reported by the press service of the head of state.
Ilham Aliyev with satisfaction, noting the intensive nature of the mutual visits of the high -ranking delegations of Azerbaijan and Iran recently. According to the president, this creates a good opportunity to strengthen friendship between the two countries and the further development of bilateral cooperation.
The head of state positively appreciated the meeting of the Azerbaijani-Iranian joint intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation as part of the Farzana Sadegi visit to Baku. Ilham Aliyev noted that his agenda includes important projects for the development of cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport and other areas.
Farzana Sadeg, in turn, stated that Iran was interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan in all areas.
She noted that the meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission on the eve of the planned visit by President Iran to Azerbaijan is extremely important in terms of discussing important issues of the agenda.
The meeting was held by the exchange of views on the development of the North-Yug transport corridor, the project for the construction of an automobile bridge over the Araz River, connecting the items of Agbend and Kelales, as well as cooperation in other areas of mutual interest.
