A scientific conference was held in Baku on the topic of modern approaches to the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) using the example of the drug Artlegia.
The organizers of the event were the Baku branch of the I Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenova and group of companies “R-Farm”.
At the conference with the introductory speech, the vice -rector for the educational and medical work of the Baku branch of the University named after I.M. Sechenova, MD, Professor Novruz Gadzhiev, vice-rector for research work I Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenova, Ph.D., Denis Buntar and medical director of the R-Farm group of companies, Ph.D. Mikhail Samsonov.
as part of a scientific event, leading foreign and Azerbaijani experts discussed topical issues of diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, as well as ways to improve the quality of life of patients.
The main speakers were the academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Yevgeny Nasonov, MD, Professor Eldar Abbasov (Azerbaijani Medical University), MD, professor Nadir Huseynov (Azerbaijani Medical University) and the Head of the Center for therapy) , genetically engineering biological drugs of the E. Eichhilyda clinic (St. Petersburg) Ruzan Samigullin.
Speakers noted that the main goal of the treatment of RA is to achieve clinical remission, i.e. lack of signs of significant inflammatory activity. It was especially emphasized that the late diagnosis and the increase in the activity of inflammatory processes significantly increase the risk of disability and severe RA. The early start of treatment helps to improve the control of the activity of the disease and prevent progression, and the rapid achievement of remission helps a long -term maintenance of ability to work and ensures the longest preservation of high quality life associated with the state of health.
At the end of the conference, the participants asked questions to specialists and received recommendations for the treatment and organization of everyday life of patients.
