Baku is ready to start preparing a draft peace treaty, despite recent provocations – Bayramov

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov as part of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly met with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid.

During the meeting, Bayramov noted that Baku advocates the beginning of the process to sign a peace treaty, despite the recent military clashes and losses of the Azerbaijani side.

Bayramov also emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to cooperation with the OSCE, and in this regard it is important to implement the program of cooperation between the parties the post -conflict period. At the same time, he noted a number of destructive actions of Armenia as part of the OSCE.

Schmit, in turn, expressed concern in connection with recent clashes on the border and expressed condolences in connection with losses. The Secretary General said that the OSCE was ready to support the normalization process, taking into account many years of organization’s experience in the region.
