Analysis of safety indicators of packaged drinking and natural mineral water in the Baku regional testing laboratory of the Azerbaijani Food Safety Institute is carried out in two directions, including microbiological and toxicological examinations.
Testing of safety indicators of the presented water samples are organized in accordance with the parameters of international standards, as well as the regulatory and technical documents operating in Azerbaijan. Thus, all microbiological and toxicological studies in the laboratory are carried out in accordance with international ISO methods. In this case, the determination of heavy metals is checked using a device with high accuracy and sensitivity. To ensure the accuracy of tests in order to control the quality of research conducted in the laboratory, analytical standards, standard standards and certified reference materials are used.
It should be noted that the Baku Regional Testing Laboratory was created in accordance with the ISO 17025: 2017 standard “General requirements for testing and calibration laboratories.” Tests are carried out according to reference methods such as ISO, AOAC, ASTM, NMKL, GOST. The laboratory also received successful results in 5 microbiological parameters of water sample in the international test for competence, held by the prestigious British company LGC Standards.
