Baku laboratory successfully passed competence test in England

In connection with the improvement of the laboratory system in the field of food safety, measures are regularly taken to strengthen, as well as the modernization of the material and technical base of laboratories operating at the Azerbaijani Food Safety Institute (AGTI).

The introduction of advanced technologies in laboratories, staff participation in trainings and international interlaboratory tests to increase competence is also ensured.

As part of the measures, the Baku Regional AGTI testing laboratory took part in the competence tests organized by the British company LGC Standards. The laboratory received successful results in 26 microbiological parameters in 2 parallel samples.

Note that earlier the laboratory participated in the test for competence by determining toxic elements (AS, CD, PB, HG) in food products organized by the British company FAPAS, and received a successful result. Tests were carried out according to the international method using a highly sensitive device ̇cp-mass.

In the Baku Regional Testing Laboratory, along with the operating in the Azerbaijan Republic, microbiological, toxicological, physical and chemical tests of food and agricultural products, feed and drinking water in accordance with quality and safety parameters are conducted in the Azerbaijani Republic. , AOAC, ASTM, NMKL and GOST.
