Baku Rejected Charges Of Foreign Minister Of France

Baku resolutely rejects the accusations raised by the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Jean Noel Barro during a speech in the Commission on Foreign Affairs of the National Assembly in connection with the Azerbaijani-Armenian peaceful process and court affairs over persons of Armenian origin.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aihan Hajizade.

According to him, it is unacceptable to question the legitimate requirement discussed by more than two years “on amendments to the Constitution of Armenia, in which territorial claims to Azerbaijan are preserved and this is a new condition.”

“If France, as she claims, really supports the speedy signing of a peace agreement, then it should encourage the adoption of the corresponding steps to Armenia,” said the diplomat.

Speaking about calls for the release of persons of Armenian origin, accused or convicted for war crimes, ethnic purges, military aggression, torture and other serious crimes, the official representative of the Foreign Ministry emphasized that Azerbaijan has the right to investigate and judge the perpetrators in these crimes.
