As part of the cooperation of the State Committee on Family, Women and Children, Media Development Agencies and the Baku State University, with the support of the Twinning-Project-financed by the European Union “Strengthening the Support of Domestic Violence in Azerbaijan” from October 19, three-day training for journalists with The purpose of familiarizing with international experience and improve knowledge in this area.
The purpose of training is the correct coverage of domestic violence for journalists and students of the Faculty of Journalism in order to make preventive measures due to domestic violence, providing the public to the necessary information on support mechanisms and changing stereotypes of violent behavior, as well as raising gender equality and gender awareness violence.
In the trainings, the resident adviser to the European Union on Twinning Laurinas Totoiatis, as well as experts from Lithuania and Austria, will take part.
