Considering the growing demand for regular passenger transportation in connection with the beginning of the new school year, the Baku Transport Agency began the implementation of preventive measures in advance.
In this context, the carriers involved in regular passenger traffic was given a number of instructions to minimize the passenger traffic and timely and at the same time convenient arrival of citizens in educational institutions and jobs.
Carriers are entrusted to regulate the daily number of buses and intervals between buses in accordance with the passenger traffic, as well as to increase the number of buses on demanded lines. Attention was drawn to the need to comply with the drivers of the schedule of the movement, the rules of the road traffic and the transportation of passengers. In order to control the execution of orders, passenger transportation in the morning and evening peak hours will be strengthened.
It is reported that in the morning and evening hours of peak on some streets and prospects will be introduced “green wave” on traffic lights to reduce density.
In order for the measures provided to be effective, BTA recommends strictly follow the rules of the road, in particular, the rules for stopping, parking and parking. Transport workers ask parents who are carrying their children to school on personal transport, do not park their car near educational institutions and do not interfere with other participants in motion. Such actions create administrative responsibility, and also lead to artificial road seal. As a result, other participants in the movement and, most importantly, public transport users including teachers get to work with delays.
BTA also encourages citizens as much as possible to avoid using personal transport and give preference to public transport.
