Baku: winners of contest “Best Presentation” were awarded

May 4, the awarding ceremony of the winners of the contest “Best Presentation”, organized on the occasion of the 99th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, was held.

The competition was organized by the Ministry of Education, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Eni Azerbaijan party, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport and the Republican Committee of the Free Trade Union of Education Workers of Azerbaijan. At the ceremony, the presentation of the owner of the first place was demonstrated. Then the winners were awarded diplomas and prizes. According to the results of the “Best Presentation” contest, five people were awarded with diplomas of the first degree, 10 people – the second degree, 15 people – the third degree. 20 people received diplomas.

The Minister of Education Emin Amrullaev, who spoke at the event, said that “as a result of the efforts of Heydar Aliyev in the 1970s, the network of schools of Azerbaijan was expanded. Currently in Azerbaijan there are 4400 secondary schools. In the early 1970s, this number was 765, And by the end of the 1970s it increased to 2117. The number of university graduates also increased from 70 thousand to 100 thousand, ”the minister said.

Amrullaev noted that at present, more than 200 thousand students are studying at various levels of education. About half study on a paid basis. This year, 400 students will be able to study at various universities in the world at the expense of the State Oil Fund.

The minister spoke about schools that will be built in Karabakh. According to Amrullaev, schools are being built in Shush and Agdam. New schools will also be built in Dzhebrail, Sugovushan and Zangilan.
