Latvia Prime Minister Kristyanis Karins said that his country along with Lithuania and Estonia plans to avoid gas purchases from Russia, reports Reuters.
Speaking at a press conference following the meeting with their colleagues from the Baltic countries, Karins said that all three states at the moment do not import Russian gas. In addition, the premieres agreed to interact in order to avoid lack of blue fuel.
“We will cooperate to ensure a sufficient amount of gas, for this the underground storage facilities in Latvia will be used,” the TASS quotes.
