Bangladesh Agreed To Open Humanitarian Corridor For Arakan Muslims, Subject To Number Of Conditions

The Provisional Government Bangladesh agreed to the UN proposal to open the humanitarian corridor from the country to Arakan in Myanmar to help Muslims-Rokhin, subject to some conditions.

According to Dhaka Tribune, the Med Bangladesh Tohid Hossain, at a press conference, said that a large number of refugees from Myanmar arrived in the country and it was necessary to do everything possible to return to their homeland.

Hossain noted that Bangladesh accepted the UN proposal to open the humanitarian corridor. “But we have some conditions. I will not go into details. If the conditions are fulfilled, we will definitely help,” he said.

He emphasized that the Civil War in Myanmar is associated with the interests of Bangladesh, and the border with this country is now controlled by a “non -state actor”, with which, according to him, it is necessary to maintain a connection in the interests of Bangladesh.

UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterres, during a visit to Dacca on March 15, said that the possibility of opening the humanitarian corridor for a Rohindzha from Bangladesh to the Myanmansky state of Arakan was discussed, emphasizing the need for resolution and cooperation for this.
