Barlas: Armenians’ statements in 1915 – largest lie of XX century

The famous Uzbek publicist Shhrat Barlas denied the accusations of the Armenian side on the events of 1915.

In an interview with Anadol, the scientist said that he did not find a single evidence confirming the accusations of the Armenians, in any library foundation in the world.

Barlas for 31 years has been studying the activities of the Armenian Dashnakov in many parts of the world, including in the countries of Central Asia, the Caucasus, in Anatolia, is the author of 8 books and many articles on this subject.

According to the publicist, he studied archival materials on the topic of 1915 events in more than 30 libraries of the world, including in Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

“Armenia statements have never been confirmed by the opinion of impartial scientists. All assertions of the Armenians regarding the events of 1915 are the largest lie of the 20th century, which has no reason or evidence confirmed by historical documents,” Barlas said.

The Uzbek publicist emphasized that all the archival documents studied by him confirm that no one killed Armenians in the Ottoman state on April 24, 1915. “On this day, an arrest warrant was issued for activists of Armenian organizations accused of anti -state actions and damage to the Ottoman army of the First World War,” said Barlas.

The publicist believes that the Armenians have charged their accusations in order to impose responsibility for the events of 1915 to the Turkish Republic and diminish its role in world history, including in the context of the battle of Chanaccal (Dardanel operation).

At the same time, the scientist attracted attention to the fate of the Turkestan Autonomous Republic – one of the first democratic states created in 1917 by the Turkic peoples of Central Asia on the ruins of tsarist Russia.

According to him, the Bolsheviks sent 10 wagons with Dashnak militants first to Ashgabat, and then to the Ferghana Valley in order to destroy the Turkestan autonomy.

Barlas noted that the Bolsheviks saw a great threat in the formation of a new state in Kokand, so they used armed gangs of Armenian dashnaks to liquidate it. “Mass reprisals made by Dashnaks in Turkestan autonomy began on February 13, 1918 and lasted for 3 months. More than 200 settlements of the Ferghana Valley were destroyed, thousands of houses were burned, more than 35 thousand people were killed, mainly the elderly, women and children”, – said the scientist.

Barlas added that he has been studying the activities of Dashnakov since 1992, since his studies began at the faculty of the language, history and geography of the University of Ancar.
