Bayraktar Kizilelma Successfully Passed Test Related To Maneuverability

Bayraktar Kizilelma unmanned combat aircraft, the development of the Turkish company Baykar, successfully passed the test related to maneuverability.

According to Baykar, the Bayraktar Kizilelma testing process continues in accordance with the planned schedule.

The company noted that PT3 is a serial prototype Bayraktar Kizilelma with TC-ZB3 tail number, which took off from the Akinci training and testing center in the Chorlu Tekirdag Province in the north-west of Turkey on March 21, successfully completed the system identification and sharp maneuvers as part of the testing flight.

Bayraktar Kizilelma serial prototype made significant changes taking into account the experience gained when creating the first prototypes. The flight was performed using an alternative forces, the integration of which was successfully completed. Bayraktar Kizilelma, which, thanks to the new powerful engine, will approach the speed of sound, will be able to much better maneuver at high speeds due to the improvement of aerodynamics. Moreover, due to the high situational awareness achieved using the AESA radar, the drone will be able to perform the most difficult tasks.

The Bayraktar Kizilelma project has been developed since 2021. The device with the on-board TC-Ezb left the conveyor on November 14, 2022 and exactly a month later, first took to the air.

Thus, Bayraktar Kizilelma soared into the sky in a record short time.

At the world’s largest aviation, astronautics and technology festival (Teknofest) in Istanbul in 2023, Bayraktar Kizilelma demonstrated outstanding flight characteristics that were included in the world history.

Baykar, the world’s largest unmanned aerial vehicles, currently sells export agreements with 34 countries on Bayraktar TB2 Si̇ha and with 11 countries on Bayrakinci Ti̇ha.
