On Friday, May 20, the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jajun Bayramov, as part of the 132nd session of the Committee of the Council of Europe (CE), met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Siyarto.
During the meeting, ministers discussed the issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Hungary in the political and economic spheres, exchanged views on regional and international security.
The meeting emphasized the presence of a high level and political dialogue between the two countries, as well as the potential for the further development of ties in economic, trade, humanitarian and other areas.
The parties especially noted the importance of the energy forum, which will be held in Baku from June 1 to 3 of this year, as well as the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring the energy security of Europe.
As part of the meeting, ministers also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry said in a message.
