Bayramov Lavrov: Lachinsky Road open

A telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jaykhun Bayramov and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

According to the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, the ministers discussed the current situation in the region and around the Lachinsky road, including issues related to the implementation of tripartite statements.

JAIHUN BAIRAMOV noted that the Azerbaijani side in accordance with obligations guarantees the safety of the movement of citizens, vehicles and goods along the Lachinsky road. As can be seen from the videos, where the unhindered traffic of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Armenian ambulance machines, cars of the peacekeeping contingent and other vehicles is recorded, the road is open.

In addition, it is emphasized that the protest of Azerbaijani activists is carried out against the illegal economic activity of Armenians in Azerbaijan.

It was noted that, despite the creation of all conditions for using the road for humanitarian purposes, the Armenian side and persons calling themselves the “representatives of” Armenian residents in Azerbaijani territories, it is unacceptable to dissuade the population from the use of the road and thereby artificially create the impression of supposedly deterioration humanitarian situation.
