Foreign Minister Jahun Bayramov today held a telephone conversation with an assistant to the US Secretary of State and Eurasia Karen Donfried, the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
Bayramov and Donfried discussed the agenda of cooperation between the two countries and the current situation in the region.
Bayramov noted that, despite a number of constructive initiatives of the Azerbaijani side to normalize Azerbaijani-Armenian relations in the post-conflict period, the process on an ongoing basis was braked by various provocations from Armenia. He emphasized the adherence of the Azerbaijani side to the dialogue and constant readiness to increase efforts to establish peace in the region.
