BBC will resume work in Russia

British British BBC Teleradioction resumes reports from Russia, suspended earlier in connection with the adoption of a new law in the country entering criminal liability for fakes on the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

“We considered the consequences of the new legislation along with the urgent need to report from Russia. After a thorough discussion, we decided to resume reports from Russia in English … After they were temporarily suspended at the end of last week,” says BBC message that quotes Interfax.

“We will tell this important part of the story independently and impartially, adhering to strict BBC editorial standards. The safety of our employees in Russia remains our number one priority,” added to BBC.

On March 4, BBC suspended the work of its employees in Russia in connection with the law on criminal responsibility to 15 years of imprisonment for fakes about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
