Belarus And DPRK Agreed To Intensify Contacts At All Levels

Belarus and the DPRK agreed to activate contacts and continue to make joint efforts in order to advance to fair multipolar world order.

In Pyongyang on Wednesday, July 24, negotiations were held by the Foreign Minister of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov with the North Korean colleague of Chva Song Hi.

According to the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed in detail the entire block of bilateral issues, agreed on specific measures to intensify contacts between countries at various levels.

A agreement on the nearest steps on the further development of the contract framework and the intensification of interaction between foreign policy departments, as well as in a number of areas, follows from the message. Among them are the areas of health, education, agriculture, culture and sports.

The ministers noted the coincidence of positions and agreed to continue to make joint efforts in order to advance to fair multipolar world order.

In this context, the interaction of the two countries in international organizations and the situation in the field of global and regional security are considered.

The Foreign Minister of the DPRK expressed support for the efforts of Belarus to confront illegal sanctions and restrictions on the part of the Western States, the press service said.

Negotiations of the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry with the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations of the DPRK Yong Zhou Ho also took place. On the agenda there was the development of bilateral economic cooperation in areas that were not limited by the decisions of the UN Security Council, cooperation between the chamber of trade and industrial chambers of the two countries and mutual participation in exhibition and fair events.

In this regard, special attention is paid to food security issues, education and healthcare, mutual supplies of individual goods, including Belarusian food products in the DPRK, as well as traditional Korean cosmetics for the Belarusian market.
