The memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the National Assembly of Laos, BelTA reports.
Signatures under the document were set by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeenko and the chairman of the National Assembly of Laos Saysfoon Fomwihan.
One of the goals of signing a memorandum is to give an additional impulse to joint work on the development of the legal framework of bilateral cooperation in the areas of mutual protection of secret information, legal assistance in civil matters, criminal cases, extradition, cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs, and in the field of culture .
As reported, the Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeenko on an official visit is visited by the Laosa People’s Democratic Republic.
Belarus is interested in deepening trade and economic cooperation with Laos, said Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeenko during a meeting with the chairman of the National Assembly of Laos, chairman of the 45th General Assembly of MPa Asian Saysusphone Fomvihan.

Trade and economic relations between Belarus and Laos must be raised to the level of political. “Possible to where parliamentarians can provide serious assistance to the executive branch to expand interstate interaction,” said Igor Sergeenko.
The Chairman of the House of Representatives of Belarus assured that Belarusian technological capabilities can largely satisfy the needs of the Laos economy. “We are ready to offer existing knowledge and experience, especially in the field of agricultural engineering, the production of freight and cars, training of personnel throughout the spectrum of specialties in demand in your country,” he added.
