Belarus and Zimbabwe confirmed the mutual interest in the development of interstate contacts.
The issues of cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting of the President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnngagva with the Foreign Minister of Belarus Sergey Aleinik in Harara, the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission reports.
During the meeting, the main attention was paid to interaction in the economic sphere, including agriculture, industrial cooperation, production of food, healthcare and more.
A general understanding of the need to effectively convert good political relations between countries into specific, profitable economic projects that will be important for the sustainable development of states and the welfare of peoples.
Interlocutors emphasized the similarity of approaches to the main problems of the global and regional agenda, including the issues of fair world order, the negative impact of unilateral forced measures on sustainable development of states and ensuring food security on a global scale.
Aleinik also conveyed the invitation of the First Lady Zimbabwe Okilia Mnngagva to visit the International Festival of Arts “Slavic Bazaar in Vitebsk”.
