The government of Belarus introduced restrictions on the export of sugar, salt, buckwheat and a number of other grocery goods due to increased demand in border areas, reports BelTA.
According to the decision of the Belarusian government, in countries outside the Eurasian Economic Union from Belarus can now be taken out: to one kilogram of flour (buckwheat, wheat, some species of croup (buckwheat, rice, manna, oatmeal, oatmeal, millet), sugar , salts and pasta; to one liter of vegetable oil; up to three canned meat, dairy and canned food cans (with the exception of baby food). Restrictions do not apply to goods purchased in duty-free shops, which are located in the checkpoints at the border of Belarus.
“The ruling was taken to protect the domestic market due to increased demand in border areas for grocery goods, which individualitsa acquire commercial parties to export beyond Belarus,” said the press service of the government.
